🔺 Exploring 3D Shapes in Kindergarten! 🔵🧊

Ms. Gonzalez’s kindergartners have been busy building their understanding of 3D shapes! Through hands-on exploration, students identified, compared, and discussed shapes such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones. It was exciting to see our young learners using math vocabulary, making real-world connections, and discovering the unique features of each shape. Great job, Panthers! 🐾📚✨

🌎📚 Exploring Culture and Connection in 3rd Grade! 📚🌎

Mrs. Gaston’s 3rd graders were actively engaged in a social studies lesson as they participated in a gallery walk focused on cultural connections. Students visited each poster, carefully observed information, and recorded notes on their T-chart before moving on to the next station with their groups.

Through collaboration, discussion, and thoughtful reflection, our Panthers are learning how people honor their own cultural heritage while embracing and learning from others. We are proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and growing understanding of the diverse world around them! ❤️🐾

📸🐞 Mrs. Eifrid’s 3rd Grade Panthers Set Their Beetles Free! 🐞📸

After observing and learning about beetles throughout their life cycle, Mrs. Eifrid’s 3rd graders had the exciting opportunity to release their beetles into their natural habitat! This hands-on experience brought science to life as students connected their classroom learning to the real world.

We are so proud of our young scientists for their curiosity, care, and enthusiasm throughout this special project! 🌿🌎

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Panther Pride on the Cross-Country Course! 🐾

Congratulations to our Jane Addams Cross Country team for an outstanding performance at the District 89 Boys’ and Girls’ Elementary School Cross-Country Championships! Facing less-than-ideal weather conditions, our Panthers rose to the challenge of the 1.5-mile course, showing perseverance, dedication, and great sportsmanship every step of the way.

We are proud to celebrate our boys’ team and our girls’ team for earning 2nd Place honors! 🥈🥈

A special thank you to our coaches, Ms. Raszyk and Ms. Campanelli, for their dedication, encouragement, and hard work in preparing our Panthers for race day. Your guidance helped our students achieve success and compete with confidence!

Yesterday, our Panthers proudly celebrated Unity Day, the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month! Students and staff wore orange as we came together to promote kindness, acceptance, inclusion, and unity throughout our school community.

By standing together, our Panthers helped send a powerful message that Jane Addams stands against bullying and supports kindness, respect, and inclusion for all. We are proud of the positive choices our students make each day to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone belongs.🐾🧡

Our Jane Addams Panthers put their best foot forward during our Walk-a-Thon! Students walked to promote school spirit, support one another, and help raise funds for our amazing school community.

A special thank you to all of our families who joined us, cheered on our Panthers, and generously supported our fundraising efforts. Your encouragement, participation, and contributions help provide valuable opportunities for our students and strengthen our school community.

🦴🔍 5th Grade Panthers Explore Natural History at the Field Museum! 🏛️🐾

Our 5th Grade Panthers had an amazing learning adventure at the Field Museum! Students explored the Native Truths: Experiencing the Pawnee Earth Lodge exhibit, where they gained a deeper understanding of Pawnee culture, traditions, and daily life. They also had the opportunity to discover fascinating natural history exhibits and make real-world connections to their classroom learning.

From hands-on exploration to new discoveries, our Panthers had a fantastic day of learning, curiosity, and fun! 🌟🐾

🔢 Math in Action with Mrs. Gaston’s 3rd Grade Panthers! 🐾

Our Panthers are hard at work during math time, rotating through engaging stations, collaborating with partners, practicing independently, and strengthening their skills through i-Ready lessons! ✏️📚

Students stay motivated by earning a spot in Mrs. Gaston’s Lottery each time they successfully complete an i-Ready lesson, giving them a chance to win a special prize. 🎉

We love seeing our Panthers focused, engaged, and taking ownership of their learning while building confidence and math skills every day! 💙🧡
