Limited spots remain! Join Roman Music Therapy with the Melrose Public Library for an engaging children’s music program with fun songs, movements, and more on Tuesday, May 5.

https://melrosepubliclibrary.org/childrens-room/sprouting-melodies-with-roman-music-therapy/

Sprouting Melodies is a music therapy based early childhood program designed by Board Certified Music Therapists to create child-centered musical experiences that support healthy development in each and every music session. Sprouting Melodies integrates known research about young children, development and musical responses.

Roman Music Therapy Services (RMTS) is a highly qualified and dedicated team of music therapists and administrators who create connections and build community through experiences of shared joy for people of all ages and abilities. Our team uses music to help solve problems and address individual or organizational needs in creative and innovative ways.

Please register on the Events Calendar for all who will attend (i.e. register for 3 people if a child and two adults will attend). Choose the session that matches the ages of children attending.

Space is limited, so registration is required.

Check it out: https://buff.ly/mQRNAQ7! Celebrate Asian American, Native Hawai’ian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and the 2026 theme, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together,” with great books from the Children’s Room honoring the hard work of AANHPI leaders who inspire us to work collaboratively and embolden the next generation to build on their legacies (FAPAC: https://buff.ly/Ydo45EP.). This year’s theme highlights the importance of leveraging collective power, telling stories, and being bridge builders in our communities. These are wonderful books to read this month and all year!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Celebrate this month with great books from the Children’s Room that champion the importance of destigmatizing mental health. These books highlight ways to normalize the practice of taking moments to recognize and prioritize mental health care without guilt or shame. These are wonderful books to read this month and all year!
