🗓️ Walk Wednesday Countdown: October 25 is almost here!

We are officially 11 days away from MAAV’s 31st Annual Walk to End Domestic Violence! We need YOU to help us make this day memorable and meaningful.
Sponsoring, donating, attending and walking is a wonderful way to show support AND it's the volunteers behind the scenes that make the walk possible.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for key shifts:
🔹 Set-Up Team – Early afternoon prep
🔹 Station Leads & Facilitators – Check-in, directional guidance, and station coverage during the event
🔹 Clean-Up Crew – Wrapping up post-walk

Most shifts are for before or after we step out onto the walk route.

In the face of the Cornell 7 case, we appreciated this reflection from Reshma Saujani in TIME on what bravery looks like, and how we help the youth we care about build it. The conversations with caring adults that help youth practice being brave can happen in the small moments - at the dinner table, in the car, and while walking the dog. The hope? That all these small conversations will add up to choosing to be brave in those moments when it matters most.

“Our sons know about consent. The real question is: Do they know how to be brave?" asks Reshma Saujani. "Knowing about consent is one thing—living by it is another."
