The MELROSE DEMOCRATIC CITY COMMITTEE will hold a CAUCUS TO ELECT DELEGATES TO THE DEMOCRATIC STATE CONVENTION.
Registered Democrats in Melrose will hold an in-person caucus on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at the First Congregational Church at 121 W. Foster St. to elect delegates and alternates to the 2026 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Doors will open at 6 PM and the Caucus will begin at 6:30 PM, sharp. There will be no virtual or hybrid component.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Melrose. Democrats who will be 16 or older by March 29, 2026 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or
at www.massdems.org.
Democrats who are unable to attend the caucus but are interested in being elected as alternate delegates may submit their name in writing via email ([email protected]) to the Melrose Democratic City Committee prior to the caucus date.
The 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Party State Convention will convene to elect the delegates who will endorse statewide candidates, including candidates for Governor, at the Convention in Worcester. This is also an important opportunity for Democrats across Massachusetts to come together to unite behind our shared values and organize to win up and down the ballot. The Convention will be held on May 29th and May 30th, 2026, at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.
