John Priess was awarded the firefighter of the year for 2025. Seargeant Sam Mousseau also the Administrstive Assist. To the department was awarded the Officer of the Year award. Both of these men dedicate well beyond running calls to the department and keeps our department running strong.

Tonight we celebrated the retirement of Don Kennedy Assistant Chief and Battalion Chief Brian Kennedy. These two with 45 years and 22 years with the department will greatly be missed and we wish them

Tonight STFD had our annual Christmas party at the Melvin Tavern. We had great food, good stories and got to see some old friends and past firefighters

Speaker Township Fire Department responded to total of 49 incidents in 2025. Here is a breakdown of the calls
Fire-13 Medical assist-15
misc. fires- 3 false call- 1 Co2 detector- 1
motor vehicle accident- 5 hazardous conditions- 6
Public assist-1 cancelled while enroute- 3

Your speaker firefighters stand vigilant and determined to keep the residents and visitors of our township safe and have logged over 48 hours of training, and attended neighboring training with other departments as well.
