📣 Oops... we're a little late on this one!

At our June 1st Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Arlington Elementary 4th grader William Grillis served as Mayor for the Day.

Before the school year ended, William met with Mayor Wissman, enjoyed lunch together at school, and had the chance to learn more about local government with his classmates. Then, on June 1, he took his seat beside the Mayor and even helped lead the Board meeting.

William did a fantastic job. And if we're being honest, it was one of the fastest meetings we've had in quite a while! In fact, William ran the meeting so efficiently that we completely forgot to post about it last week. Better late than never!

🚲 Know Your E-Bike - New TN law

We've received a number of questions about e-bike rules recently, so we wanted to share an upcoming change to Tennessee law.

Beginning July 1, 2026, riders must be at least 16 years old to operate a Class 3 e-bike. The current minimum age is 14. Helmet requirements also vary depending on the type of e-bike being ridden.

Not sure what class of e-bike your family has? Check the graphic below.

As always, all bike and e-bike riders should follow traffic laws, watch for pedestrians, and ride safely. A little knowledge goes a long way toward keeping everyone safe on our streets and trails.
