There was a credit card left at the city park in Linden. No name on it. If you can describe the color or type of card, Rosanna Weems will have it. She will be at the food bank tomorrow.

A cell phone was left in the parking lot across from the Linden Church of Christ. We have it at City Hall. Must be able to describe it to pick up.

The Town of Linden is partnering with the Perry County High School each month to honor a "Student Spotlight". This student will be voted based on grades, behavior, attendance, and overall interaction with their peers.

For the month of May: Laila Edney

Laila is a dedicated and hardworking student at PCHS who is actively involved in both academics and extracurricular activities. She is a valued member of the PCHS Basketball Cheer squad, serves as Sergeant at Arms for the sophomore class, and participates in both the National BETA Club and Health Occupations Students of America. Academically, Laila is a straight-A student who proudly ranks in the top five of her class.

Outside of school, Laila enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach, reading, and listening to music. She is also committed to serving others through her volunteer work in the babies’ and toddlers’ classes at New Life Christian Church, where she has been a member since 2020.

After graduation, Laila plans to attend Austin Peay State University to pursue a degree in nursing. Her goal is to earn a Master of Science in Nursing and return to Perry County to care for and serve her community.
