Several months ago, the MSGRA Committee voted to suspend operations. Over the past 34 years, we have been proud to have conducted 33 R***e and 22 Pistol matches.
We, as a Committee, are profoundly grateful to all who have participated over the years both as competitors and committee members.
We did not reach this decision easily and are saddened to see the end of this great competition. However, many long-time members of the Committee are now standing watch at the pearly gates, and there were no volunteers to replace those members. Given the age of the remaining members and reduced numbers in both the Committee and competitors, we have decided to stand down the Association.
A final Committee Meeting was held August 14, 2026 at which time it was voted that what funds were left in the Bank account would be donated. Several worthy Veteran causes were submitted to receive our modest donation; in the final vote, Tunnel to Towers https://t2t.org/ was chosen.
Again, from the entire Committee, it has been an honor and pleasure to serve the Guard & Reserve community. We believe that this was the only competition designed uniquely for members of the Guard and Reserve.
To all members of the Guard & Reserve, Thank You for your Service to Our Great Nation. We salute all past, present, & future Guard & Reserve Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, & Marines.
