Juvenile Court of Memphis & Shelby County joined Porter-Leath for a special Action News 5 interview highlighting the impact of the Nurturing Parenting Program and why programs like this are an important part of the Court’s commitment to rehabilitation.

With four cohorts already completed, the program has provided parents with practical tools to strengthen their parenting skills, better understand and respond to their children’s behaviors, and build healthier relationships within their families.

Breaking systemic cycles requires meeting families exactly where they are. Shelby County Juvenile Court and Porter-Leath joined forces to do just that, offering evidence-based parenting education to families touched by the juvenile justice system. We’re honored to share that Porter-Leath has been selected as a 9/11 Day grant recipient!

We’ll be partnering with 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 by giving back to our community.

We will also be honoring community helpers like first responders, active duty military or veterans in Memphis. 🚒🚔🎖️🩺
