We know this is one person who is super busy today as she works to fix and tweak student schedules. Please welcome Ms Lindsey Strozeski to her new position as Jr/Sr High Counselor. Ms Strozeski has been with our Memphis team since 2024 as our College Advisor and has made the transition fluidly to Counselor.

Welcome back, Memphis families!

At Yellowjacket Day tomorrow, you might notice our floors look a little different this year. There's a good reason:

Logistically, over the summer, our buildings had various crews hard at work on ongoing bond updates, with workers in and out all season, waxing wasn't feasible. Financially speaking, the majority of our floors are being replaced as part of the Bond 2024 program, with corridors starting late winter 2027. Spending approximately $50,000 on waxing now, for floors we're about to replace, wasn't a responsible use of tax dollars.

While the shine may take a moment to come back, the investment is real; new, refreshed floors are on the way. Thank you for your patience and support as we work responsibly and intentionally to create improved spaces for our school community!

Our teams at both Memphis Elementary School and Memphis Jr/Sr High School are preparing for another awesome school year. Yellowjacket Day is fast approaching...we can't wait to see you on Wednesday, August 26th between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

Congratulations to Kai Fisher, who was invited to compete at the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend! Impressively, Kai crushed it, and ran an unbelievable 1:59 in the 4x800 meter relay, helping to earn him and his relay team a 2nd place champion ALL AMERICAN finish! Kai is an elite standout athlete who consistently demonstrates grit, determination and a relentless work ethic! WAY TO GO, KAI! We are so proud of you, your team and your family!
