Project Green Fork (PGF) contributes to a sustainable Mid-South by helping reduce environmental impacts, with a focus on strengthening homegrown restaurants. PGF was founded in 2008 as a reaction to the amount of waste generated by restaurants, a desire to contribute to the sustainability of our community and a passion for supporting local restaurants. PGF certifies service industry establishments

based on 6 steps and is a program offered through Clean Memphis, a grassroots organization working in communities, schools, and service industries to make Memphis a cleaner, greener and more environmentally sustainable place to live.

Nothing says community like sharing a little sweetness!

Recently, a donation of surplus Girl Scout Cookies found its way to 29 nonprofit organizations across Memphis, bringing smiles to clients, guests, and staff throughout our food rescue network.

This is exactly what food rescue is all about: making sure good food (and in this case, a beloved treat!) gets enjoyed rather than wasted.

A huge thank you to Girl Scouts and everyone who helped organize, distribute, and share these cookies.

What does sustainability look like behind the scenes? Sometimes it's as simple as taking out the recycling. ♻️

At Mempops, reducing waste is part of the daily routine. From separating recyclables to diverting food scraps and organics, their team has built systems that make sustainability a habit rather than an afterthought.

Project Green Fork certification is about implementing practical steps that reduce waste, conserve resources, and create a more sustainable business over time. Shoutout to all our certified restaurants and partners who are doing great work!
