The Orion 5K, benefitting Meals on Wheels was such a good event in April.

Did you know that Memphis has the highest senior food insecurity rate in the nation—15.6% of seniors in our community lack access to adequate nutrition. Since 1976, MIFA Meals on Wheels has provided hot lunches for homebound seniors, and today delivers more than 500,000 meals to 3,000 seniors each year.

Meals on Wheels Serves Memphis Every Day

•2,100 Seniors Served Each Month
•100 Volunteers Needed Daily for Meal Delivery
•15.6% of seniors in the Memphis area are food insecure—the highest percentage in the nation
