🏀⚽🏐🏈 Calling all Gestalt student-athletes!

Sports Physical Day is happening Saturday, August 8, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at 5435 Wi******er Road, Memphis, TN 38115.

Physicals are $30, cash only, and are required for all student-athletes who plan to participate in sports. Forms will be available for parents and guardians to complete on-site, and all scholars must be accompanied by an adult.

Powerhouse families,

We are so excited to welcome you and your scholars back TOMORROW, Monday, August 3rd, for the first day of school! We are looking for 100% of scholars to being present and accounted for!

As we begin going through the systems of arrival and dismissal, please remember it is going to take us around a week to get our timing down as we have 743 scholars. PLEASE be patient with us and I promise you, we will get it going!

All right, families—it is officially time! Scholar Orientation is tomorrow for all grade levels!!!!

Please review the flyers below carefully, as Kindergarten scholars have separate orientation times, and scholars in grades 1–5 will follow their designated schedule.

Scholars do not have to wear uniforms tomorrow. Please also note that breakfast will not be served.

There will be no regular dismissal line tomorrow. Parents and guardians of scholars in grades 1–5 should enter the building beginning at 10:00 a.m. to pick up their scholars and meet their teachers.

We are so excited to welcome our scholars back into the building and cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow. Here’s to an amazing school year!

POWER 15 STARTS ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL‼️‼️

Scholars who attend the first 15 days of school (August 3–21) will be entered into our Power 15 raffle! 20 scholars will win Chick-fil-A gift cards. One parent from each grade level will win a gas card.

Power Families,

Our 2026–2027 School Supply List is officially here. We wanted to share it early so families can begin shopping throughout the summer and take advantage of back-to-school sales.

Please review the list carefully for your scholar’s grade level. Purchasing supplies a little at a time can help make back-to-school preparation easier.

Important Reminder: Please do not write your scholar’s name on any school supplies. All supplies will be used as community classroom materials throughout the school year to ensure every scholar has the resources they need.

Thank you for partnering with us to help our scholars start the school year prepared and ready to learn. We appreciate your continued support and can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another great year!

Families,

We will be hosting two MAKE-UP Parent Academy sessions for any families who were unable to attend the original sessions a couple of weeks ago.

Sessions will take place Tuesday, July 7th and Thursday, July 9th. Both sessions will be held virtually via Zoom and are open to new and returning families.

Reminder: Parent Academy is MANDATORY for all families. You must attend the session and complete the survey at the end in order for your attendance to be counted and to confirm your scholar’s seat for the upcoming school year.

📣 HAPPENING TOMORROW MORNING AND EVENING!!!!! 📣

Parent Academy for the 2026–2027 school year is officially scheduled, and attendance is mandatory for your scholar’s enrollment and successful start to the school year. We ask that every family attend the session that matches your family’s enrollment status (new or returning).

✅ Returning Families: Sessions will be held virtually via Zoom. You will find the meeting ID below! However, if you would prefer to attend in person, you are more than welcome to join us on campus.

✅ New Families: Attendance at an in-person Parent Academy session is required as we will review important school procedures, expectations, and information needed for a successful school year.

During Parent Academy, families will receive important information regarding academics, attendance, transportation, uniforms, communication, school expectations, and more.

Please review the flyer carefully and choose one session that works best for your schedule. We look forward to partnering with you for another successful year at Power Center Academy Elementary – Hickory Hill!
