HB1103 is headed to the governor's desk to be signed. This will raise the Homestead credit up from $600 to $675 beginning with the 2026 assessment year (next year's taxes). This is good news for homeowners, as well as the counties. A huge thanks to our legislators 👏👏

With the current 2025 tax year underway, I would like to remind everyone that you are able to make payments as long as your taxes are current. You can pay parcel at a time or make part payments however you need to, until October 15th. If you need to discuss payment options, on current taxes, please either stop by or give us a call. We truly are here to help.

Tax statements are in the mail today. They are not payable until March 1st. You will be able to pay in the office Monday March 2nd but the online site will be open Sunday March 1st, at midnight

The 2025 tax books will be open and payable beginning March 1 and will be delinquent after October 15th. Our tax statements should be mailed later this week but you do not need your statement to pay your taxes. Our office hours are M-F 8:00-4:30 (we do not close for lunch). You will be able to pay in the office, by mail or online at

With postage rates continuing to rise, we have decided to start emailing our tax statements to those with an email address on file. I have considered this for a while, I have even considered adding postage to the statements, which other counties do, but feel this is a better option. Statements will still be mailed for those without an email address on file. If you would like to have your email address added to our system, please let me know.

I will be taking the delinquent tax lists to the paper Friday morning (11/7/25) and it will run the week of Thanksgiving. You must have them paid before I run that list or your name will appear in the paper, even if you pay it in the days in between.

Last night, I converted our current 2024 tax books to delinquent. All penalties, interest and costs have been added to each parcel. The online portal has been opened and is now able to accept payment for delinquent taxes.

Today is the last day to pay your personal property and real estate taxes without penalty. We will close at 4:30 and there will be a 10% penalty beginning tomorrow morning when we open. If you pay by mail it must be postmarked today the 15th (we do check). You will be able to pay online until 11:59 tonight, then that option will be closed.
