Field Day Fun at Gegan Elementary! ☀️🎉

What an amazing way to wrap up another fantastic school year! Gegan students spent the day laughing, competing, cheering and making memories during their annual Field Day.

A huge thank you to the staff, volunteers, and families who helped make Field Day such a success. We are so proud of our students for showing teamwork, sportsmanship and school spirit throughout the day!

Forty-seven Butte des Morts third- and fourth-grade students recently completed six weeks of training with the BDM Running Club to prepare for their annual 5K run. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Along the way, students participated in fun training runs such as the 6–7 Challenge, the Monopoly Run, and the Swifty Run to build endurance and excitement for race day. They also powered through the “attack” of lake flies during their long run across the bridge!

Race day ended on a sweet note with a refreshing icy treat, and fun was had by all. 🎉

A special shout-out to the BDM PTO and the MEF Foundation for supporting our young runners and making this experience possible!

What a surprise at Maplewood Intermediate!

After Mr. Springhetti was honored with the Excellence in Education Award, 5th graders celebrated in true superhero style with an extra recess and some fun Batman-themed goodies.

Maplewood Intermediate held their first ever Track and Field day on May 26th for our 5th and 6th grade students to try out different events!

Designed by Phy Ed teachers Mrs. Werfal, Mr. Beck, and Mr. Thao, students participated in:

🏃 Classic events like the 100 meter dash, hurdles, and broad jump
🏈 Events that practiced Phy Ed skills they have worked on this year like a free throw contest, soccer kick bowling, and football throw
🥔 Just for fun events like hula hoop contest, bean bag toss, and potato sack races.

Thank you to the 8th grade student volunteers and parent volunteers that supported throughout the hot afternoon!
