Finding Hope in the Smallest Lives

When the tornado swept through our community, so much changed in an instant. Homes were lost, neighborhoods were devastated, and the places we knew and loved looked completely different.

But in the midst of the destruction, something else happened: people stepped up to help one anotherand to help the animals who were suddenly displaced and in need.

A few of our Heckrodt staff had the honor of serving our community this week by volunteering their time to help local schools distribute backpacks and school supplies to families.

We are incredibly proud of our community and all the amazing people who continue to give their time, resources, and hearts to help others. It truly takes a community and we are grateful to be part of it!

As summer winds down, we’re also getting excited to welcome students back to Heckrodt for another year of field trips, learning, and connecting with nature!

Here’s to a great new school year!
