We always enjoy working with our friends at Menasha Parks and Recreation, and some of our best community connections happen right in our city parks. Join them tonight from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Menasha City Hall to share your ideas and help shape the future of Menasha’s parks and recreation services.

Can’t make it? Take a few minutes to complete the survey at the link below.

Come be part of the conversation as we work to update our Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) to provide a roadmap for our parks and recreation services.

Thursday, June 25 from 5:30-7:00pm at City Hall conference rooms.

If you can't make the visioning session, we would love to hear your thoughts on the survey at: https://ecwrpc.mysocialpinpoint.com/city-menasha-corp/city-menasha-corp-update

This handsome fella was discovered on an unsupervised morning stroll in the 800 block of Broad Street this morning. He is currently visiting with us, but if we cannot find his humans, he will be transported to the Fox Valley Humane Association. If you know his owners, please have them call us, 920-967-3500

Four of our officers recently completed the Wisconsin State Patrol’s 4th Annual Basic Honor Guard Training.
Officer Cora Dutter, Officer Kate Lynch, Officer Brian Van Alstyne, and Officer Eric Voigt took part in the 16-hour course alongside officers from agencies across Wisconsin. The training covered both basic and specialized flag and rifle movements.

Honor Guard work takes patience, precision, and a real sense of responsibility. These officers are stepping into a role that helps us honor service, support families during difficult moments, and represent our department with the respect those moments deserve.

We are proud of them for taking on that responsibility and for representing Menasha well.

Last week the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy held its 4th Annual Basic Honor Guard training.

Fourteen officers from eight different law enforcement agencies completed the 16-hour training, which exposed them to both basic and specialized flag and rifle movements.

Today we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, foster dads, and father figures who lead by example, show up when it matters most, and help shape the next generation.

We also want to recognize the fathers who are spending part of their day serving our community instead of sitting around the grill or opening gifts at home. Thank you to your families for sharing you with us.

Whether you’re making memories with your kids, remembering your own father, or simply enjoying time with those you love, we hope you have a safe and meaningful Father’s Day.

From all of us at the Menasha Police Department, Happy Father’s Day!

We have a couple of found property items we would like to get back to their rightful owners.

A canoe was recovered from the water near Fox Street on June 11th.

A motorcycle helmet was also turned in to the Menasha Police Department after being found at Jefferson Park on June 15th.

To help us make sure these items get back to the correct person, anyone claiming them will need to contact our Evidence Technician and be able to accurately describe the item and the detailed area where it was lost.

Please contact our Evidence Technician at (920) 967-3595 and reference the appropriate incident number listed in the image.

Because as much as we enjoy storing mystery canoes and helmets, we would much rather get them home.

Summer safety does not have to be boring. The Menasha Police Department, Menasha Health Department , and Menasha Parks and Recreation teamed up for a Backyard Safety Scavenger Hunt.

Take a few minutes with your kids to check around the house and yard for things like first aid supplies, working flashlights, sunscreen, emergency numbers, and items that should be locked up or stored safely.

Return the completed checklist by August 17th to the Police, Health, or Parks Department for a chance to win some fun safety prizes.

Protect your home. Learn together. Have fun.

Well, the Menasha Parks and Recreation tried to have a nice City Carnival, but Mother Nature apparently did not check with their schedule first.

With the forecast calling for storms, the Menasha Parks and Recreation Department is playing it safe and rescheduling City Carnival to June 24.

We are disappointed too, but safety comes first. Nobody needs a community event with a side order of thunder, heavy rain, and flying canopies.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on June 24.
