✨ The sky is about to come alive.
Starting July 17, the Perseid meteor shower begins its dazzling return — bringing with it dozens of shooting stars every hour.
And at its peak, between August 12–13, the heavens could rain down 50 to 100 meteors per hour — some so bright, they’ll leave glowing trails across the night sky. đźŚ
But this year?
There’s a twist: an 84% full moon will rise, washing out the faintest streaks…
Yet the boldest fireballs will still blaze right through.
Fewer meteors — but the ones you catch? Unforgettable.
đź” What are the Perseids?
They're shimmering bits of dust from Comet Swift-Tuttle, burning up as Earth passes through its ancient trail. Each meteor? A cosmic postcard from the past.
Want to watch the magic?
Here’s how:
🌌 Head away from city lights
🌙 Wait until after midnight
👀 Let your eyes adjust for 20–30 mins
🛏️ Bring a blanket, lie back, and just… look up
Even with a bright moon, this will still be one of the most magical nights of the year.
Warm air. Silent awe. A sky that whispers in firelight.
Sometimes, all it takes is one shooting star to feel wonder again.
