Today, members of the Mendham Fire Department joined our community in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than a holiday weekend — it is a time to remember those who gave their lives defending the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We thank all who served and especially remember those who never made it home. 🇺🇸🚒

Yesterday, the Borough of Mendham celebrated the retirement of Craig Bellamy from the Construction Department. Craig began working for the Borough in 1972 and has held several positions since his retirement from ATT. He is still an active member of the Mendham Borough Fire Department, serving as the Secretary. We wish him all the best and thank him for his dedication and years of service to the Borough!

A special thank you to Mendham DPW for clearing the roads ahead of us, as well as Mendham Borough Police Department and Brookside Engine Company 1 for their assistance.

❄️ Winter Storm Safety Reminders ❄️

With snow starting to fall, the Mendham Fire Department reminds residents to stay safe and limit travel when possible. As you prepare for the storm, please take a few minutes to help protect your home and your neighbors.

🚒 Clear fire hydrants near your home or business by shoveling at least 3 feet in all directions. During an emergency, every second counts, and a buried hydrant can delay firefighters when water is needed most.

🏠 Clear snow from furnace, dryer, and heater exhaust vents and pipes. Blocked vents can cause dangerous and potentially deadly carbon monoxide to build up inside your home.

⚡ Practice generator safety in the event of a power outage. Never run generators in garages or indoors, and stay away from any downed power lines.

🚗 Limit travel during the storm when possible and allow the DPW to safely plow and treat the streets.

We are ready to respond if needed. Thank you for helping us help you, and please stay safe during the storm.
