West Morris Junior Women's Club

The West Morris Juniors Women’s Club is a community based volunteer organization of women from the Mendham, Chester, and the surrounding communities.

The West Morris Junior Woman’s Club (WMJWC) is a service organization formed by and for the young women of the West Morris area. The Club has sponsored charitable, educational and civic activities in the surrounding communities since it was founded in 1957. The club is a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of New Jersey.

The Juniors wrapped up the year with our annual banquet this past week. It was a great night full of laughs, amazing food at and so much fun! We officially welcomed new members and celebrated some achievements from the last year. Have a wonderful summer!

The Lamplighter served. 🍻 Mama D & The Vexations had the whole floor moving. 💃 And YOU made it all worth it.
Thanks to your support, the West Morris Junior Women’s Club gets to keep showing up for local families, students, and our community all year long — with a portion of this year’s proceeds going to Plaid House. 💛

Join the mahjong craze! 🀄️

Our monthly mahjong night is this Thursday (5/21) from 6:30-9:30 at the Lamplighter.

This month we’re supporting the WMJWC Annual Scholarship Fund, which is awarded yearly to a deserving female member of the West Morris Mendham HS graduating class in recognition of her outstanding community and school engagement.

Light bites included with ticket. 1-2 drink suggested minimum.

✨Mahjong 101 for May is SOLD OUT - but players with some prior experience can still sign up for open play ($40). Please bring your 2026 NMJL card.

A room full of ribbon, tissue paper, and big-hearted teamwork 💐✨

This past week, the Juniors came together to pack Mother’s Day baskets for JBWS. Each year, our members generously fill baskets and donate special items to help create meaningful gifts for the mothers staying at the shelter, giving them something beautiful to open and enjoy on Mother’s Day.

This year, we were proud to deliver:
🌸 30 Mother’s Day baskets
💙 3 Father’s Day baskets
🎨 Card kits so children could create something extra special for mom

A huge thank you to Alexis N. Laufer, Esq. and her firm for donating the baskets and wrapping materials, and to all of our members whose generosity helped make this project possible. Your kindness wrapped every basket a little tighter. 🎀

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow night is our monthly Mahj for a Cause -- Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30pm at the Lamplighter. The 101 class is sold out but there are still slots available for open play! Proceeds will benefit our Mother's Celebrating Mothers program.

The WILD WEST MORRIS JAMBOREE held this past weekend in support of Plaid House was a great success. The live band, dancing, BBQ, and silent auction made the night extra special.
