A unique DVD in the Mendocino Community Library is the 1944 film 'Frenchman's Creek' based on the book. Filmed on the river (which stood in for Cornwall, UK) Moyna McGill (the mother of & fame) acted in it, creating a unique connection btwn them on the coast. This film is unavailable to buy or watch online - so your local library is your only option to view it!

For Adults and Children alike - 'The Adventures of Tintin' comic books are a joy to read. With over 200 million copies sold across 70 language translations, they are some of the most successful comic books ever written. In 2011, adapted one of the stories into a movie. Your local Mendocino Community Library has 12 of the 24 total books. Stop by to experience them.

In the classic film 'East of Eden' (1955) the town of was used to recreate 1917 . Two copies of this film on DVD are available to rent at your local Mendocino Community Library . See if you can recognize all the local filming locations? If you aren't a member yet, stop by to join.
