RTI has a team dedicated to the field of social services. Our leadership teams are led by Mental Health Professionals with decades of experience in the field working with persons with a mental illness, developmental disability and/or a brain injury. Our direct care staff possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Social Service related field or a minimum of 2 years of social service professional

experience. Our team members are all well trained in person centered planning. RTI employs team members who display empathy, compassion and a desire to teach. Our staff believe in putting the desires of the people RTI serves first. We seek to hire individuals who are creative and individualistic in their approach with the people we serve. On May 18, 2026, clients enjoyed a memorable recreational outing to the Minnesota Zoo. Although the day brought overcast skies and light drizzles, the experience was filled with discovery, connection, and excitement. One of the highlights of the visit was seeing two newborn lambs that had arrived earlier that morning, making the trip even more special for everyone involved.

Throughout the day, clients explored a variety of exhibits, engaged with the natural world, and shared meaningful moments together. Recreational opportunities like these encourage community involvement, social connection, learning, and overall well-being while creating lasting memories along the way.

After graduating from UMD-Duluth, Jake commenced his career working with children who have Autism. This impactful experience led him into case management, and in September 2024, he brought his passion to RTI.

What Jake appreciates most about RTI is the supportive culture of a team of supervisors and colleagues who genuinely care, generously share their expertise, and made him feel welcome from day one.
