Mendota Swimming Pool Information
Monday - Friday Hours:
Adult Swim: 10am-12pm & 5pm-7pm
Open Swim: 12pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm
Saturday-Sunday Hours:
Adult Swim: 10am-12pm
Open Swim: 12pm-5pm
* There will always be lap lanes available during public swim hours.
* Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an Adult (15 or older)
* Children under the age of 3 are welcome to join an adult during Ad

***Pool will close under the following conditions:
- Threat of violent weather
- If pool temperature or air temperature is less that 70 degrees
The decision to close the pool is at the discretion of the pool manager
Prices:
0-5 years old are admitted in ONE free with a paying adult, $2 per child after that.
6-14 years old is $2.00 for day and night swim. Patrons 18 and older are $1.50 for adult swim. Senior Citizens (65+) are free
Pool Rentals:
Available days for renting out the swimming pool are on Saturday and Sunday. NIGHTS ONLY between 5:30-9PM.
$75 an hour with a minimum of 2 hours.
* Any rentals must be signed up for at least 3 days in advance to allow for the appropriate staff to sign up to work the rental. Locker Rentals:
Lockers are available to rent in the both men’s and women’s locker rooms for $5 each. If the locker key is returned the SAME DAY it was rented out, the patron will get their full $5 back. If the locker key is returned late then no money is to be returned to the patron. Private Swimming Lessons:
Private swimming lessons can be conducted daily from 9:30AM-11:30AM
Private swimming lessons can also be done MON-THUR from 5PM-6:30PM. Private lesson charges:
$7.00 for 1 child per ½ hour.
$9.00 for 2 children per ½ hour with the same lifeguard. LESSONS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE LESSON BEGINS. Anyone under the age of 8 must be supervised by a responsible adult 15 years of age or older.
2. Only adults (18 and older) are allowed to swim at rest periods and in designated swim lanes. One child under 5 years of age may swim with an adult during rest period. Children may swim laps in lap lanes with an adult (18 and older) present.
3. Only 2 people in swim lanes at a time except for experienced swimmers and swimming lessons.
4. No hanging on the swim lanes.
5. No band-aids or uncovered casts are allowed in the pools.
6. Anyone with open wounds, infections, diseases, or funguses will not be permitted into the pool. This is at the lifeguards’ discretion.
7. Showers should be taken before entering the pool.
8. Swim diapers must be worn by all kids under the age of 2. No regular diapers will be permitted. Swim diapers for sale in basket room for $1.00.
9. A swimming suit MUST be worn to swim, t-shirts are allowed over suits.
10. Hair that is shoulder length or longer must be tied back.
11. No running on the pool decks or in the locker rooms.
12. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. Swimmers must exit the pool using the ladder immediately after diving. They may not swim under the rope. NO BACKFLIPS OR GAINERS ARE ALLOWED BY ANYONE.
13. No diving anywhere but the designated diving area.
14. No hanging or sitting on the diving well rope.
15. No hanging on the diving boards.
16. The lifeguard will evaluate the swimming, diving, and front flipping skills of each patron. The lifeguard has the right to prohibit or restrict the privileges of each patron.
17. Kids that want to be caught jumping off the diving boards are NOT to be caught by a parent or another patron, but by a lifeguard with a rescue tube.
18. No roughhousing, horseplay, chicken fights, etc. This is at the lifeguards’ discretion.
19. No dunking the basketball into the basketball hoop.
20. Fins and facemasks with safety glass are permitted however fins cannot be worn on the decks or on the diving boards.
22. No arm floats, noodles, and baby floats allowed in any of the pools. Squirt guns and water toys allowed at the lifeguards discretion.
23. No chewing gum is allowed in the pool or on the deck.
24. No food or beverages are allowed to leave the concession deck. Food is not permitted in the far sun deck or the baby pool area.
25. Coolers and outside food at the manager’s discretion are allowed into the pool. Coolers must be checked before entering to ensure NO GLASS CONTAINERS or ALCOHOL enter the pool area.
26. Smoking, alcohol, and other drug use are prohibited with the MSP. Patrons must go outside of the pool AT LEAST 15 feet away from the front door AND fencing to smoke.
27. The Mendota Swimming Pool and its staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
28. Any money, phone, purses, or wallets that are reported stolen by a patron must be reported to the Mendota Police Department.
