Today was Paloma Valley’s grad walk at Táawila. Our cubs got to celebrate the returning Táawila Cubs who will be graduating this year. This was a special year because our inaugural fifth grade class is graduating this week! As they walked the halls, the graduates were cheered on by the youngest Cubs. A huge shout out to board member, Mr. Singleton, for joining us to celebrate this special occasion.

Last soccer game of the season and the Táawila players met their match. Oak Meadows gave our team a good fight, but the Táawila players never gave up!

They played on a bigger field (they played at Menifee Valley Middle School), and there were more kids (11 v 11 instead of the usual 9 v 9).It was also a very hot day, but our players still played their hearts out. BRAVO, team!

There were also so many incredible saves by our goalie— without him, we could’ve lost by landslide. Overall, great effort on the field by all. Despite the loss, the kids kept their chins up and ran through the “tunnel” one last time.

We appreciated the opportunity and the great camaraderie. These kids practiced hard three times a week and made many wonderful memories. Great job, TAAWILA CUBS. So proud of you all. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Art Show tomorrow night! ALL OF OUR kindergarten second grade 5th grade and SDC students have been working with an art teacher to learn more about visual arts. They have created some masterpieces that will be on display all around our multipurpose room tomorrow night for our art show. Come join us from 6 to 7 to support our students and experience an evening filled with imagination and inspiration. There will also be a couple of fun art activities for students and families to enjoy.

Táawila Soccer Update - Our fourth game was against Chester Morrison last Friday. Despite the fact the field was significantly larger than it normally is for kids this age group (we were at Menifee Valley Middle School hence the bigger field), that didn’t seem to make a difference.

The Táawila soccer team ran and ran; they also scored and scored! Seeing them celebrate together as a team was just wonderful. They were so supportive of each other and enthusiastic about it ALL. (Final score: 16 to 0 with multiple kids scoring and many amazing assists).

In the photo, you can see the players putting up the number “one”— that is because this was our final game until going onto the semi-finals. They remain UNDEFEATED. Great job, Cubs!!!! 🐾
