Our PBIS focus this week was Choosing Kindness while in the MPR! Our Cubs shared their ideas about what kindness looks and sounds like during MPR activities.

We are so proud of our Cubs for learning how small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference! 🐾✨

This week, August 31 - September 4, is the MUSD Educational Foundation's district-wide "Let’s Eat Out" fundraiser!

We are competing against all other schools in the district for the official Let’s Eat Out Trophy. Táawila won this competition last year, so let’s continue that momentum this year!

🐻 How to help us win:

Eat Local: Dine at any participating restaurant on its scheduled day (dine-in or drive-thru).
Mention the Fundraiser: Let staff know you are with MUSD. Show the event flyer. Visit this website for all the information: musd.me/letseatout

Scan the QR Code: Make sure to scan the flyer's QR code at the restaurant after your visit—this check-in is what earns points for our school!

Every meal supports our district's students and staff while giving our school a chance to keep that trophy!

Thank You, Táawila Families!

Today was an exciting day at Táawila Elementary—our Cub Cart opened for the very first time!

Students had the opportunity to visit the cart and redeem their Cub Champion Cards for prizes they earned by showing our C.U.B.S. character:

🧡 C — Choosing Kindness
💚 U — Using Respect
🧡 B — Being Responsible
💚 S — Staying Safe

A HUGE thank you to all of our families who have donated items from our Amazon Wish List! Your generosity is helping us make the Cub Cart a reality and gives us a special way to recognize and celebrate students for making positive choices each day.

We are so grateful for our Táawila families and community who continue to support our Cubs! Because of you, students get to see that their hard work, kindness, responsibility, and safe choices truly matter.

Every Friday, our Táawila Cubs come together for Cub Connection—a special time when our whole school gathers as one!

During Cub Connection, we:
🇺🇸 Say the Pledge of Allegiance
📣 Share important school announcements
🐾 Recognize and celebrate students who are demonstrating our C.U.B.S. behaviors
🌟 Celebrate student accomplishments and successes
🎉 Have fun, play games, and build our school community!

Cub Connection is more than an assembly—it’s a time to connect, celebrate, and remind our Cubs that we are all part of one amazing school family.

We love starting our Fridays together and celebrating the wonderful things happening at Táawila Elementary!

It was such a joy to welcome our Táawila families to campus tonight! Our teachers had the opportunity to introduce themselves, share a little about who they are, and give families a glimpse into all the learning, growth, and excitement ahead this school year.
Thank you to all of our families for joining us and helping us kick off another incredible year together. We are so excited for the adventures ahead and can’t wait to see our Cubs reaching new heights! 🐾
