Join us Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Shoreway Environmental Center where there will be on-site shredding, tours of the facility, a clothes mending workshop, children’s crafting activity and Poster Contest winner recognition.

🌅 Participate in RethinkWaste’s annual poster contest! This year, the “Super Sorters” theme seeks to show and teach others how students, their family or class can sort waste items using compost, recycling and solid waste bins.

♻️ There are two contest categories with winners: elementary school students (in grades 3-5) and middle school students (in grades 6-8) within its service area.

♻️ Residents can pick up free compost while supplies last Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 a.m. through Sunday, Sept. 17, at Burgess Park parking lot (Alma Street and Burgess Drive).
