Our crews work hard to keep our county parks clean and welcoming for everyone. Please respect their efforts—and your fellow park visitors—by disposing of waste properly and helping protect these shared spaces.

In the State of Michigan, littering, under 1 cubic foot, is punishable by a civil infraction up to $800; 1 to 3 cubic feet a civil infraction up to $1,500; 3+ cubic feet (first offense) a civil infraction up to $2,500; 3+ cubic feet (subsequent offense) a civil fine up to $5,000; and 5+ cubic yards is a criminal misdemeanor with penal fines up to $5,000 plus remediation. Additionally, Menominee County has the authority to revoke an individual's privilege to use the Menominee County Parks System for violations of the Menominee Couty Parks Use Ordinance.
