Respiratory illnesses can spread easily, especially when we’re spending more time around other people.

The CDC recommends everyday steps that can help reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses like flu, COVID-19, RSV, and the common cold:

• Stay home when you’re sick until you’re feeling better overall and have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
• Wash your hands often and clean surfaces that get touched a lot.
• Get some fresh air by opening windows or spending time outdoors.
• Take extra precautions when needed, like wearing a mask or giving others a little more space.

Now for the sick-day essentials: What’s your must have when you’re stuck at home sick? Soup? A cozy blanket? A favorite show? Tell us below! 👇

Back in the school pick-up line? Here’s one small way to help everyone breathe a little easier. 🚗💨

While you’re waiting, consider turning off your engine instead of letting it idle. Vehicle exhaust can affect air quality around schools, and children (especially those with asthma and other health conditions) can be more sensitive to air pollution.

So when you’re parked and waiting for your student, turn the key and go idle-free!

Being a responsible dog owner means more than food, walks, and belly rubs. It also means helping keep your pup and the people around them healthy and safe!

A few ways to be a responsible dog owner:
• Keep vaccinations, including rabies, up to date.
• Use a leash when appropriate and keep your dog under control.
• Check for ticks after spending time outdoors.
• Pick up after your pup.
• Keep up with regular veterinary care.

Taking care of our pets can help protect the health of our whole community. 💚

Now for the important part... we want to see your dogs! 🐕📸 Drop a photo of your pup in the comments and tell us their name!

Taking care of our mental and emotional well-being can be an important part of recovery, too. Things like getting enough rest, managing stress, staying connected, moving your body, doing things you enjoy, and asking for help when you need it can all support overall wellness.

There’s no single path to recovery, and wellness can look different for everyone. What matters is finding healthy routines, people, and resources that help you keep moving forward.

This National Recovery Month, we’re celebrating the many ways people care for themselves and their recovery here in Dunn County.

September 16-22 is Deaf & Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Week!

Every parent deserves to have breastfeeding information and support that works for them.

For Deaf and hard-of-hearing parents, that means being able to ask questions, understand their options, and communicate with their care team in the way that works best for them.

This week, we’re celebrating Deaf and hard-of-hearing parents and families and recognizing the importance of making breastfeeding support easier for everyone to access.

Every parent deserves to feel supported, understood, and included.
