UW-Stout Diversity Council

UW-Stout Diversity Council The Diversity Council discusses different issues and changes that students would like to see on campus, and makes plans to implement them.

The Diversity Council was created by the Director of Diversity of the Stout Student Association, Kourtney Huettl, so that there is a place where everyone can post their events and share ideas with one another. The mission is to get people from each Diversity organization to come to these meetings to familiarize each other with each organization and keep updated on the different events that go on during the year.

Looking forward to the launch of the 2015-2016 Diversity Committee of the Stout Student Association. Led by Anthony Hoffman, I think this group will represent the campus well in issues of supporting policy that effects all students, and in hosting events that explore the many differences among us. It's a shame and sad to mention that a hate crime has indeed occurred within our campus community on November 4th. We have received an email on November 10th (a week after). The administration response was unsatisfying. That is why, as students, it is time to stand together in solidarity and demand actions that will make us feel safe. . There will be a meeting @7:00 PM in Northwood at the MSC.

I would like to proudly introduce to you, your new Director of Diversity for the upcoming year Esuvat Mollel !! She will be a sophomore in the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism program. She is actively involved in BSU among other diversity orgs. I am very excited to pass this job down to her, and I have no doubt she will do an amazing job!!
