A Sweet Celebration of Success!

The staff at Mentone Elementary recently enjoyed a special treat from Slate Creamery Premium Ice Cream in recognition of their hard work and dedication to student achievement.

Thanks to the commitment of our teachers and staff, Mentone students made significant gains on the ILEARN English/Language Arts assessment, reducing the percentage of students scoring in the red well below the state average:

• Grade 3: 11% of Mentone students scored in the red, compared to 15% statewide.
• Grade 4: 9% of Mentone students scored in the red, compared to 20% statewide.
• Grade 5: 9% of Mentone students scored in the red, compared to 20% statewide.

These results reflect the care, perseverance, and student-centered approach that define our school community.

At Mentone, every student counts, every student is known, and every student's growth matters. We are proud of the progress our students and staff have achieved together!

Today, we celebrate the dedicated individuals who help make Mentone Elementary a bright, clean, and welcoming place for our students, staff, and families. From preparing classrooms for learning to keeping our hallways shining and our school safe, our custodians play a vital role in the success of each school day.

Their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to our students often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is seen and felt throughout the entire building. We are grateful for the care and pride they bring to their work each day.
