Strong Hands, Big Hearts!

We are incredibly grateful to football players - Tristan, Ben, Jackson, Logan, and JoJo - all juniors from Mentor Public Schools' Mentor High, who donated their time to us today giving their muscles a serious workout by moving furniture into our office! Your hard work and generosity mean so much to us.

A huge THANK YOU as well to Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center | Mentor, OH for very kindly donating the furniture—we truly appreciate your goodwill and graciousness in thinking of us!

And we couldn’t have done it without the help of Ladies & Gentlemen Salon & Spa who lent us their moving truck to make it all happen!

Your help is needed to feed our local friends and neighbors suffering from hunger now during our 33rd Annual Feed Lake County Food Drive & Fundraiser.

A total of 29,150 Lake County residents face food insecurity. That's a 28% over the prior year.

Hunger is a harsh reality for too many in our community—36% of households struggle to afford basic needs like groceries. But together, we can make a difference. Four ways you can help:

1️⃣Host a Food Drive – Organize a food drive at your workplace, in your neighborhood, or through your favorite group (book clubs, card clubs, etc.). Donate all collected food and funds to United Way of Lake County to support local families in need.

2️⃣Double Your Impact! – Thanks to products Buyers Products Company, every donation made by March 31, 2025, will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum of $25,000 in total donations! That means your gift goes twice as far in helping those facing hunger when you make a gift now at uwlc.org/give.

3️⃣ Philanthropic Pantry Purge! – Clean out your pantry, cabinets, or cupboards and fill a bag or box with food to donate. Want to do even more? Rally your friends, family, and neighbors to join in—or dedicate a portion of your weekly shopping to stocking up for those in need.

4️⃣ Volunteer – We need helping hands to sort food donations! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, we’d love your support. Email [email protected] to help.

Here’s a big shout out and Thank You to our friends at Burgess & Niple for their food drives as part of their Souper Bowl party. Their efforts raised over 1,250 lbs of much needed food to support our initiative helping over 34 Lake County food pantries!
