Some of our latest grant approvals this school year include; needed upgrades to the story walks at each elementary building, sensory room upgrades to Bellflower, & middle school tool boxes.

We are just a few days away from our first Pancakes for a Purpose since Covid! We hope to you at Yours Truly Restaurants Thanksgiving morning! Start your holiday season by giving back and enjoying the best pancakes around!

This holiday season Mentor Schools will hold our 3rd annual Coats for Cards clothing drive as we look to provide winter coats, gloves, and hats to Cardinals families in need!

Please use the link below and complete the form if you'd like to request a winter coat, winter hat, or winter gloves for your Mentor Schools student, and we will do our best to provide those items. Items that are received from the drive and matched with need will be organized and delivered to students prior to winter break.

Dates of Collection will be November 25th through December 6th and community members can drop off new/gently used coats, new gloves, and new hats at the following locations:

Mentor Board of Education (Behind Mentor High) at 6451 Center St. Mentor, OH 44060 (Between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday)
Local Cardinal Credit Union Branches (9am-5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays.)
Mentor Students can bring in items to their school's office.
We are looking for a variety of children and adult sizes.

Monetary donations are also being accepted and will be used for ongoing support of Mentor Schools families in need which could include clothing, school supplies, food, and other essentials in need. Please make checks payable to the Mentor Board of Education and put "coats for cards" in the memo. Checks can be delivered to the drop locations or mailed to the Mentor Board of Education at 6477 Center St. Mentor, OH 44060. Any questions can be directed to Dr. Glavan at [email protected].

🍎🥫This Thursday, October 24th, Mentor Public Schools will host their monthly food distribution from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Mentor High School. The Food Market distribution is open to all community members in need, with around 12,000 pounds of food available on a first come, first served basis. If you or someone you know could use support, don’t miss this opportunity!

We are looking for bus drivers! Mentor Schools will be holding a DRIVE THE BUS event on Saturday, September 21 in the south parking lot on the Mentor High School campus from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The state of Ohio requires all school bus drivers to be at least 21 years of age.

Please feel free to share this information with anyone you think may be interested and is qualified for this work. The safety of our students is always our number one priority and, as with all positions in Mentor Schools, all applicants will undergo background checks and receive necessary training.
