Happy Earth Day!🌎
-
On Saturday, April 11th RWA hosted their annual Earth day celebration at the Highway 59 Landfill! The event saw almost 70 vehicles pass through with about 70-80 yards of material distributed to Merced County residents. The Earth Day event coincided with our Household Hazardous Waste event which had 53 vehicles pass through with several hundred pounds of hazardous materials collected!

Our local partners with UC Master Gardeners, the City of Merced, and WM also joined us to teach the community about vermiculture, composting and the services they provide. Thank you to all who joined us and helped to make this a successful event! Until next year!
