Over the past month, we had the opportunity to attend open house events throughout Mariposa County and connect with students, parents, educators, and community members.

Thank you to all of the schools and partners who welcomed us and allowed us to participate and connect with your communities.

This week we had a special thank you dinner for some of our VITA volunteers. We would like to thank our volunteers, partner agencies, and incredible program staff for all the hard work this tax season. This year we got our clients almost $3,000,000 in refunds.

Today we celebrated United Way of Merced County as Assembly District 27’s Nonprofit the year!

Today is California Nonprofit day, hosted by the California Association of Nonprofits. Today (once a year) where all the state's best nonprofits get recognized by their respective elected representatives at a ceremony and luncheon in Sacramento.

It’s a day to celebrate and recognize the tireless efforts our nonprofits put in for our community, and for those who need help the most. Nonprofits also serve as leaders in our community, champions of charity and public service, and voices for those who don’t often feel heard.

United Way of Merced County has been dedicated to improving the Merced County region. Their efforts helping neighbors during the Planada floods of 2023 should alone, serve as a reminder for the incredible, selfless community service they provide every single day.

It was a day to celebrate the amazing nonprofits showing up everyday to work for their communities and we are so proud to be included into such an incredible group.

We are renewed in our work to ensure that our communities are housed, healthy, fed and connected in Merced and Mariposa counties.
