"MID is developing Exchequer Bike Park at Lake McClure. The bike park will include mountain bike trails for all skill levels and will be open year round. We are currently a contender for a grant to construct a double-black-diamond gravity trail. Only one winner in the United States will receive this $100,000 grant from Bell Built helmets. We are competing with Nevada and Oregon. The winner of the grant is decided by popular vote. We
are currently about 300 points behind. If we are selected it’s a win for our local community and a win for California.

Well Flash Buy friends, here is something really cool that could use everyone's help. Merced is having it's 125th celebration next year. There are meeting being held to establish what and when things will be done. Please attend if you can. Next meeting is JAN 9th at City Hall - 6:00 pm.
This is a time to help make this a GREAT celebration!!
The next opportunity will be in 2039. 150th Anniversary.

Last nights City Council meeting was SUPER! IN the sense that I got to witness our council members voice their support for BUY LOCAL! Support Local!
THANK YOU CTY COUNCIL members!!!
A GREAT feeling came over me! To see that the efforts of groups such as our FLASH BUY, Merced Ahead and many others, have made a difference is so worth the efforts! THANK YOU everyone who has participated and helped along the way!! So much appreciated!!! GOOD things to happen in the future, slowly but surely!! MERCED WILL BE A GREAT TOWN!!!

FYI everyone, I had to post pone Jantz until next Friday at the Mgr's request. They're closing early due to a wedding of one of it's employees and they are closing early that day at 3:00pm. So next week now. 3/22/13
