The players are ranked, the coaches have drafted, and the stage is set for a phenominal NFL Flag Football season in Merced!

We can't wait to see all the parents, players, and coaches in action this season, thank you for chosing us.

Special shout out to the Coaches and Players that signed up for our first Girls Flag Football Division. We're excited to be supporting this new era of sport in our area and want to thank Golden Valley and Merced High Flag Football Players for helping run our player combine this year.

We want to share our gratitude for our major program sponsor Merced City School District for making this program so accessible for our youth.

We want to share our appreciation for Ms. Kathy Alderman who officially retired from service last week. Kathy was a constant in the Contracts and Facilities Division of Parks & Community Services, often prepping and cleaning facilities at Applegate Park such as the Scout Hut, Rossotti Ed- Zoo- Cation Center and Gazebo for rentals.

She always aimed to provide the best service possible and held our facilities and service to the community in very high regard. Her dedication, energy and smile will be missed. Thank you Ms. Kathy for your years of service to Merced through Parks & Community Services!

Thank you Merced for coming out for our end of season Big Kahuna Cannonball Contest! What a great day for our community at Memorial Plunge Pool in McNamara Park.

We want to give a Big Kahuna thank you to Merced City Public Works Environmental Compliance and Water Departments for hosting the rubber duckie race. We're pretty sure the adults may have had even more fun than the kids with that one!

We want to thank our Staff from who came out with their docent cart today and info on how to sign up for the Gateway to Yosemite 1k/5k/10k Run next month.

Special thanks to former Parks Commissioner Walter Smith for donating hotdogs for all our attendees today. We thank you for your ongoing support of our operations.
