The MC Latino Democratic Caucus held its first “Meet the Candidate” event on Friday, January 30, 2026. We are planning to host more events like this before the primaries.

The executive board invites candidates seeking office to contact our Caucus if they are interested in participating in future “Meet the Candidate” events.

During our first “Meet the Candidate” event, we displayed slides with important facts and information demonstrating the strength and significance of the Latino vote in New Jersey and Mercer County.

Since the “Meet the Candidate” event went live, those who weren’t in attendance weren’t privy to this information. We are posting it here for your review.

Finally, thank you to those who attended and to those who weren’t able to attend but watched the live feed.

Rosa Rosado, vice president of the MC Latino Democratic Caucus, and I, Pedro Medina, president, attended Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson's announcement to run for Congress. Assemblywoman Reynolds-Jackson decided to run after Congresswoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman announced her retirement. It is my understanding that this congressional district is composed of 28 percent latino voters, which undoubtedly means that the latino vote is crucial, as it has been in many other elections. Wishing Verlina the best of luck!
