MERCER TIGERS ARE LEADING THE WAY!
We have some phenomenal news to share with our Mercer school community! Recent data from researchers at Harvard and Stanford universities shows that our students are defying national expectations and are ahead in academic growth!
Check out how much extra learning our students have achieved compared to the pre-pandemic national average:
Based on 2022-2025 State Assessment Data for 3-8 Grade:
*Mercer School District: Performing 0.27 grade levels ABOVE the 2019 national average (That’s nearly 3 MONTHS of additional learning and growth!)
*Wisconsin Schools Overall: Performing .06 grade levels below the 2019 national average.
*Similar Districts (the nearest matches within the same state based on socioeconomic status, demographics, and size): Scored an average of .37 grade levels below the 2019 national average.
What does this mean?
It means Mercer is leading similar districts by a massive 6-month learning gap! While other schools are working hard to catch up, our Tigers are practically two-thirds of a school year ahead of their peers in comparable communities.
Our success has been so noticeable that a researcher from Harvard University recently reached out to learn more about what we are doing right!
THANK YOU to our incredible teachers, staff, and parents!
This achievement is a direct result of our intentional work to create a rigorous, engaging learning environment with personalized instruction and high expectations. Outstanding teaching and a supportive community change lives.
We truly are a Small School with Big Opportunities, and we couldn't be prouder of our students and staff. Let’s keep rising to the top!
