Let there be light 🎉💡
The Hart Family Memorial Skatepark now has operational lights that are available to everyone 7 days a week until 10pm.

There are few concrete skateparks in the area with lights, so please share to let people know about this recreational opportunity in Meredith!

A few weeks ago professional skateboarder Dave Bachinsky visited the Hart Family Memorial Skatepark 🎉. He made a video that received national attention and highlighted our new skatepark and the surrounding area 🙌

National skateboarding media outlet The Berrics shared his video from Meredith, which put it in front of millions of skateboarders around the country!

A young skater forgot his board at the skatepark. His parents went back today and the board was nowhere to be found. If anyone knows where the board is, please have it dropped off at Meredith PD!

We saw Renee West picking up trash at the skatepark in her free time. She was not asked to do this, but was down there out of the goodness of her heart keeping the skatepark clean.

This exactly what it means to be a caring member of a community. Thank you, Renee!

Yesterday we had our official grand opening 🎉

What a special culmination of years of hard work. Our community showed up to demonstrate exactly why a skatepark is necessary: it’s a space where people can come together and enjoy the delights of healthy recreation!

A massive thanks to the Friends Of Meredith Parks and Recreation for all of their generous volunteer work!

Thank you to Twisted Entertainment Karaoke (DJ Ethos) for supplying tunes and George’s Diner for donating all the burgers and hot dogs!

We are deeply saddened to see this negligent treatment of our skatepark 😔

👉Please respect this facility that took 4 years of hardwork to build from volunteers.
👉There are hundreds of families and kids who cherish this recreational space.
✅If you see someone leave their trash behind, please give them a friendly reminder to put it in the trash can. It’s there for a reason.

This is a skatepark. This is a place for families and kids. This is a memorial built by volunteers. This is not how it is supposed to be treated.

The skatepark is getting some state-of-the-art shade 🎉! The Meredith Rotary Club is donating a delux permanent pavilion that will provide a stylish shaded space where families can snack and relax! Construction has just started!

This was years in the making... The official grand opening of the new Hart Family Memorial Skatepark 🎉 🦃 🛹

👉 Come down on August 8 from 4-8pm to the Meredith skatepark located in Prescott park. There will be a BBQ, music, skate jam, and prizes to be won! Rumor has it the famous skateboarding turkey will be making an appearance and he'll be eager to fly!

📣 Please share with your friends and family. This skatepark took a village to build, and it will take that same village to come celebrate our grand opening!

The Hart Family Memorial Skatepark was built in honor of Glenn Hart and Linda Hart-Buuck, two lifelong supporters of youth recreation in the Lakes Region.
