On June 17, the Meredith Public Library's historic Benjamin M. Smith building celebrates 125 years of service to our community. We held a party on Saturday and created this slideshow with photos ranging from 1901 to present. If you see someone you recognize, please comment below. I'd like to identify as many people as we can. Listen to his life story, ask questions about life during the American Revolution, and find out how the Declaration of Independence was written. We are pleased to announce the sale of limited-edition America 250 souvenir t-shirts, celebrating both the nation’s semiquincentennial and the Meredith community. Featuring patriotic designs that incorporate Meredith into the America 250 theme, these shirts are a fun and meaningful way to mark this historic milestone.

T-shirts are available for $25 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Meredith Library. Shirts are available in sizes Small through XL and come exclusively in blue.

These commemorative shirts were generously provided by Meredith’s America 250 Parade Committee, helping to unify the community’s celebration efforts. As a complementary initiative, the Meredith Fire Department is also offering America 250 t-shirts in gray, with proceeds supporting the creation of a 9/11 Memorial.

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to wear their shirts to the July 4th Parade, which will kick off at 10:00 AM. For full parade details, visit:
