Missing Person Search – Meadow Creek Lookout Area
The Valley County Sheriff’s Office has been notified of an abandoned vehicle located near the Meadow Creek Lookout in the backcountry near Stibnite and Yellow Pine, Idaho.
Deputies responded to the area and determined the vehicle belongs to Soloman Wilkins of Pickens, South Carolina, who had been reported missing. Based on information gathered during the investigation, deputies believe the vehicle has been parked at this location for several weeks.
Deputies assigned to the Valley County Sheriff’s Office Backcountry Team, along with members of Valley County Search & Rescue, conducted an area search operations over the weekend in an effort to locate Wilkins, without success.
The Valley County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have seen Soloman Wilkins or the blue Toyota Corolla, particularly in the Stibnite, Yellow Pine, Meadow Creek, or surrounding backcountry areas, to contact law enforcement. Information regarding when or where Wilkins or his vehicle was last seen could be critical in helping search teams establish a timeline and narrow the search area.
