Ok Meridian, we only have TWO decorating spots left for Christmas On The Bosque. If you are still thinking of volunteering and haven't yet, give Jennifer Brooks a call at City Hall to sign up. REMEMBER, we will begin decorating each section starting Saturday, November 15th. There really isn't a designated time so come out and remember to dress warm.
Thank you again to everyone that has volunteered.

**CHRISTMAS ON THE BOSQUE UPDATE**
Decorating down at the park scheduled for this Saturday, November 8th will be delayed until next Saturday, November 15th at 9:00am.

We are wanting to get the electrical upgrade complete, and the trees wrapped before all other decorating begins. This means you still have time to VOLUNTEER TO DECORATE 😊

Below is our volunteer list. Thank you to those who have signed up to volunteer. Your support means so much to Meridian:

Another annual Christmas on the Bosque parade has come to a close. Thank you all for those of you who braved the weather and came out and made this night special. Even though there was wet roads, drizzly weather, and lights that wouldn’t shine, the night was good and the fellowship amongst the community was wonderful.
We were even blessed with the Band being a part of our festivities at the courthouse. 🎶🎄
The parade was led by our Meridian Police Department: Chief Woosley and Sergeant Ryals, in their newly granted police vehicles.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their helper elves 🎅🏽🤶🏽 were the first float of the evening.
Following behind them was the Meridian State Park (taking 2nd place) who joined us this year and are having a special event on December 14th. (Their entry fee is one unwrapped toy).
Mckamie Real Estate (1st Place) rode in with the toy story crew, and had everything including a barrel of monkeys.
Mustang Dental- Jason Hurley and family were riding in a 1965 Red Mustang. (Including Rudolph this year 😊).
First Methodist Church was pulled by a 1949 tractor.
John Kappus was driving a 1969 Chevy Truck, and hauling a Christmas tree.
Puppoozies had a float with Christmas for the Pup families 🎄- complete with hot cocoa and pup-cups. 🐶
The City Of Meridian Public Works crew drove their new John Deere tractor and pulled their new skid steer all dressed in lights. This crew has really worked hard in lighting the town for this season.
Calvary Family Fellowship rode through in an ATV of lights.
The Munoz family came in style riding in a decorated carriage and all!
The Meridian Pentecostal Church float had a beautiful church building on it. In sharing a little of their church, they have great history for this event as one of their very own is the one who started Christmas on the Bosque. (I failed to grab a picture)
Riverside Baptist Church had a float full of all ages enjoying being near the cross and sharing John 10:11. (I failed to get a picture of this one as well)
Clifton Volunteer Fire Department sent one of their crews over to join us in celebrating. (It is often overlooked that it takes 12 departments, all volunteer, to cover our county of a little over 1,000 square miles.
Finishing with our very own Meridian Volunteer Fire Department. They are family, they are friends, and they are always willing to be there. No matter what the call. Emergencies, events, safety, trainings, road blockages, parades, etc. These men and women are dedicated and are always there for our community, may we remember them all this season and all year long for the needs are many for a volunteer department. ❤️
Our Meridian Police Department led the parade, and closed the parade behind to make sure all were safe. We are grateful for our department and all that they do.
Thank you to our SRO Officer Wallum for taking care of safety at the end of the parade, and Officer Flood for managing traffic at the intersection of Hwy 22 and Hwy 144.

May each of you have a merry Christmas.

Unfortunately the weather is taking a toll on the lights. We will work on getting these back up and running for your families to be able to enjoy at a later time. Thank you for understanding.
