🎉👏 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT & RETIREMENT CONGRATULATIONS! 👏🎉

Congratulations to James Hogan on being selected as our Employee Spotlight and celebrating his recent Retirement from the Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Department! 🦺🚧

For the past eight years, James has been a hardworking, dependable, and dedicated employee. His strong work ethic as a truck driver has been an example to others, and he will be greatly missed around the Satellite B district among his coworkers.

🌱🚜 James enjoys working in his yard and vegetable garden, as well as visiting with family and friends.

We are grateful for his years of service and his commitment to helping keep the roads of Lauderdale County safe and maintained. 🛣️⚠️

🚨 Temporary Road Closure 🚨

Tomorrow ( Tuesday September 1st ) there will be a temporary road closure from 8:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. near the 3500 block of Linton road. This work is needed to correct a drainage issue with crosspipe failure.

We ask the public to use an alternative route during this time.

We will notify when it is back open!

❤️🩺 BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING 🩺❤️

Lauderdale County Road and Bridge employees recently participated in a Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Training Session presented by the American Heart Association at the Meridian Training Facility. 🚑👏

During the training, attendees completed both cognitive and skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) Program. 🫀🩹

👏🎓 Congratulations to these dedicated staff members on successfully completing the training and earning their Basic Life Support certification!

We appreciate their commitment to being prepared to respond in an emergency and to helping keep our community safe. We also appreciate Parish Tractor for sponsoring this event and the instructors, John Hollingsworth and Anne Smith. 🦺❤️

🚧✅ ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE – LINTON ROAD ✅🚧

🎉 Linton Road is now OPEN to traffic! 🚗🛣️

Lauderdale County Road and Bridge crews have successfully completed the cross-pipe replacement, and the new cross pipe has been installed. 👷‍♂️🚜

⚠️ Please continue to use caution and drive slowly through the area as the roadway settles.

🚧⚠️ FRIENDLY REMINDER – ZERO ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE ⚠️🚧

Lauderdale County drivers are encouraged to plan ahead as the bridge on Zero Road is scheduled to be replaced beginning Monday, August 24. 🛣️

🌉 The bridge crosses over the CPKC Railroad in the 3000 block on Zero Road.

🚗 Please plan accordingly, allow extra time, and use caution in the area. Stay tuned for future announcements for a project timeline.

🕗 Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., August 19, 2026.
🚧 Traffic: One lane will be closed to through traffic
👷‍♂️ Work: Lauderdale County Road and Bridge crews will be working in the area.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down, remain alert, and use caution when approaching the work zone. 🦺🚗

Zero Road Bridge to close Monday, Aug. 24

Lauderdale County drivers are encouraged to plan ahead as a bridge on Zero Road is set to be closed beginning Monday, August 24. The bridge, which crosses over the M&B Railroad between Causeyville Road and Kimbrell Farm Road, is slated to be replaced.

More information about detour routes and the duration of the closure will be announced as it becomes available. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this closure.
