Airmen from the 186th Communications Squadron, Tech. Sgt. Connor Moheb, Tech. Sgt. Gary Langley and Staff Sgt. Jered Gibbs conduct advanced systems training focused on operating a voice announcement system in a deployed environment.

This training enhances mission readiness by strengthening communication capabilities and ensuring personnel can effectively deliver critical information in fast-paced mission environments.

Tech. Sgt. Ronald Dale Long and Staff Sgt. Wesley Chapman, vehicle mechanics with the 186th Air Refueling Wing, performed preventative maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational and dependable.

Their work helps sustain daily operations and ensures vehicles are ready to support the mission at a moment’s notice.

Keeping the mission moving 📦

Tech. Sgt. James Hattaway and A1C Kaylee Taylor with the Logistics Readiness Squadron, support mission readiness through the movement of personnel, cargo and equipment. Through transportation, vehicle management, supply and deployment support, their efforts help sustain daily operations and ensure mission success at a moment’s notice.

Airmen from the 186th Security Forces Squadron conducted Area Security Operations (A*O) training in a contested environment at the Meridian Public Safety Training Facility, commonly known as Sandflat.

During the exercise, defenders established 360-degree security within a designated timeframe to secure a landing zone for rotary aircraft operations. A*O prepares Airmen to secure locations, equipment and personnel in a timely manner to support mission success.

Airman 1st Class Levi Graeter, a power production technician assigned to the Civil Engineering Squadron, was named Freshman Military Veteran of the Year, an honor recognizing academic excellence, strong work ethic and commitment to education.

Graeter attends Meridian Community College as a freshman and earned the distinction through dedication both in uniform and in the classroom. Since enlisting two and a half years ago, he has remained focused on his educational goals and plans to continue his studies in forestry at Mississippi State University.
