We're pleased to share exciting news from our Mission Partner, MannKind.

The FDA has approved Afrezza® for children and adolescents ages 6 and older living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. This milestone expands access to the first and only inhaled mealtime insulin for pediatric patients and provides another option for diabetes management.

Advancements in diabetes care help create more opportunities for people living with diabetes and the healthcare professionals who support them.

We're excited to partner with Blue Circle Health to help share an important resource for adults living with type 1 diabetes.

Blue Circle Health is a nonprofit organization offering a free, virtual care and support program for adults 18+ with T1D. Services may include endocrinology care, diabetes education, insurance navigation, peer support, supportive counseling, and prescription assistance. The program runs for six months and is available in select states.

DECA is proud to help spread awareness of this opportunity among camp professionals, volunteers, and adult campers. Support and connection don’t stop at camp—and neither should access to care.

This combination brings meaningful improvements to automated insulin delivery and everyday diabetes management — innovations that can make life easier for individuals and families living with diabetes.

At DECA, we champion tools and resources that support the well-being of our campers, caregivers and community. Advances like this help create more opportunities for confidence, independence and safety at home and at camp.
