During this time the board and its members worked diligently to make our association into a strong, professional and community oriented organization focusing our goals on improving the general welfare of the citizens of Meridian as well as engaging in fraternal, educational, charitable, economic, social and other types of activities which further the interests of this organization and its membersh
ip both directly and indirectly. The MPEA also saw this as a way for sworn and non-sworn members of the Meridian Police Department to get to know the citizens of Meridian on a more personal level, outside of the uniform. In addition, we focused our goals on providing assistance, financial, moral or otherwise to sworn and non-sworn personnel here at Meridian PD, as well as other first responders throughout the state.
