"Falls Finale", Watercolor on paper, by Joyce Green

Last chance to see our current exhibition "With Water" before it closes on August 28th! The gallery is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

"My Water Music series (a nod to the composition of Frederick Handel) is inspired by the dynamic beauty of our mountain streams. The dramatic motion and play of light on and through water surfaces speak to me of musical compositions and connotations. Each watercolor bears a water name and a music name. It is also a metaphor for life implicit in the journey of a river. Never the same river twice." - Joyce Green

Watercolor artist Joyce Green is from Minnesota and resides in Idaho. She is a distinguished merit member and past president of the Idaho Watercolor Society.
Joyce holds a BS in art from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and an M.Ed from the University of Arizona. She teaches art and watercolor workshops and classes and has served as curator of education at the Columbus (Ohio) Museum of Art.

"Naiad's Playground", by Claire Remsberg

This amazing work of art will be on display until August 28, as part of our current
exhibition "With Water"!

"My interest in painting water from life is tied to my interest in floating rivers, scuba diving, swimming and sailing. I also find water as subject to be potent with metaphors and cultural mythology. Water is, of course, essential for life on Earth. I expect water to be a subject for which I will never run out of interest." - Claire Remsberg

Claire started making art seriously as a profession in the economic upheaval of 2008, when she was “gifted” more free time. Artmaking has become her way to deal with unknown economic and cultural outcomes and innumerable world crises. she clings to art for spiritual grounding, to help me appreciate what remains
constant: beauty and shared human experiences of love, life and
death. She splits her time between Boise and McCall, Idaho and wherever else her curiosity takes her, which often leads to water.

"Rhythm", Pastel on paper, by Jill Storey

This amazing work of art will be on display until August 28, as part of our current
exhibition "With Water"!

"I have found that the louder and more thoughtless the nonstop buzz surrounding us becomes, the greater my need to create the opposite. Water is integral to this: the music of it, the feel as it swirls around my feet, even the scent on a hot, dusty day takes me to a place of calm and comfort. " - Jill Storey

Jill Storey is an American pastellist based in Boise, Idaho. Her work is driven by a love of quiet, contemplation, and the emotional resonance of everyday moments and is celebrated for its evocative storytelling and serene presence.
