Mid Rogue Fire District

Mid Rogue Fire District We are Josephine County's newest Fire District. Formed in 2024 as Josephine County Rural Fire Protection District and renamed Mid Rogue Fire District in 2025.

Proudly serving the communities in the areas outside the City of GP and other fire districts. The Mid Rogue Fire District was formed in November of 2024 by the County Commissioners under the name Josephine County Rural Fire Protection District. The Board of Directors were elected in May of 2025 and sworn in on July 1st, 2025. The elected board determined that the name needed to be change to end th

e confusion many county residents were facing. The name was voted on during a public hearing and since no opposition was received, the name Mid Rogue Fire District became official on September 3rd, 2025. Currently, the Mid Rogue Fire District is operating without a tax base and service is being provided by Rural Metro Fire Dept., INC under a service agreement with the District. Being that we are a brand new district, we do not have any infrastructure, stations, equipment, apparatus, or personnel. Rural Metro has all of these things in place and ready to serve you when you call 911. Your fellow community members working for Rural Metro are dedicated to serving you and the Board of Directors voted unanimously to allow that level of All Hazards Fire Service to continue while we develop the district. Please like and follow this page to stay up to date on the growth of the district and for all emergency notifications sent out by the district. Also, we will be holding many town hall meetings over the next year to discuss funding for the Fire District and we want to hear from you. You can also attend our General Meetings in person or via Zoom. Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like to attend via zoom or if you have any questions. We will post our meeting agendas on this page 3 days prior to our meetings, so please check back often. All previous and live streamed meetings can be viewed at www.youtube.com/

Have you provided the fire district with your gate code? ๐Ÿš’

In the event of an emergency, we will get to you โ€” but if your gate code is on file with the fire district and dispatch, we can do so much faster and with far less damage to your gate or property.

Many homes in our community are located behind locked gates or long rural driveways. Having updated gate access information can make a big difference when seconds matter.

Feel free to call the station today and let us add your driveway gate code to our secure records so we can be ready when you need us most.
