Congratulations Matt Rydeski!!

We want to extend a massive thank you and a bittersweet farewell to Matt Rydeski, who has been an invaluable asset to the School District of Merrill as a summer worker since 2021. Throughout his many summers with us, Matt’s exceptional work ethic, reliability, and dedication have left a lasting impact on our schools and community. As the summer winds down, Matt is heading back to UW-Stevens Point to complete his final semester of college before embarking on his next big adventure in Minnesota. Thank you, Matt, for your years of hard work and commitment; the entire district wishes you the absolute best of luck in your final semester and all your future endeavors!

Thank You, Merrill Community!

A huge THANK YOU to Shady Acres, Auntie Ray’s, Sczygelski Farm, Plain & Simple, Emerald Studio, and Nicolet Bank for coming together to support Merrill Area Public School students through a recent school supply drive!

Together, they collected more than $1,000 worth of school supplies and funds to help ensure students in need have the supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn.

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, kindness, and commitment to supporting our students and our community. Your support truly makes a difference!

Last night, our Board of Education approved the change of the third K-8 day from Friday, March 19, 2027, to Friday, April 2, 2027.

Last night, our Board recognized Church Mutual Insurance Volunteers! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated group of volunteers from Church Mutual Insurance for their recent outstanding service across our district. Their hard work and community spirit have made a tangible, positive impact on our learning environments, preparing our spaces for the upcoming school year. To honor this remarkable contribution, the Merrill School Board would like to formally recognize the volunteers. The Church Mutual Non-Profit Human Service Underwriting Team participated in a company wide challenge " ", to complete 250 minutes of community service honoring our country's 250th birthday. We are incredibly fortunate to have such strong community partners investing their time and energy into the success of our students and staff. Thank you to Darcy Dalsky, Kendra Osness and Team for the much appreciated help!

Hello Families,

As we get closer to the first day of school, Kobussen Buses will be doing a “dry run” day on Monday, August 24, 2026. What this means is all buses will be doing their morning, mid day, and afternoon routes at their scheduled times. They will be stopping at each stop to verify times are accurate. If you would like to be out at your stop at your designated time, you will be able to see your school bus as well as the driver for the year. To get your student(s) bus information, please go to your StopFinder App and get your student(s) times and bus/route number. Kobussen Buses will be sending out information about the StopFinder App shortly, if they haven’t already. As always, times can vary up to 10 minutes so please be patient. After they complete their “dry run” day, you may notice in your StopFinder App some times may change so please review your information later next week.
