Occasionally we donate a "ride to school" to our area schools for PTO fundraisers and special events with our littles. This morning SRO Cimino was able to provide a ride to school to this young lady who has aspirations of becoming a police officer some day. Her little brother joined in the fun as a special guest.

We are gearing up for the Labor Day Parade which begins at 10:00AM. Officers are clearing the route of parked vehicles and traffic controls will soon be lifted into place. There will be horses in this parade and they do not respond well to drone activity at times. For the safety of their riders and bystanders, refrain from flying drones over the parade. Let's be considerate of the safety of others and have a great parade experience. Be safe Merrill and we will see you out there!

Pfft-Donuts secure!

A big thank you to Dunkin Donuts for their support of the Special Olympics with their Cops on a Roof event today. Thank you to our officers for spending their time on the roof. Most didn’t even have to work today. We appreciate your commitment!

What a great day fishing with a special group of people! Thanks as always to Little Lakes Memories, Silver Moon Springs, Merrill Park and Rec, and employees (current and retired) of the Merrill PD. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 # of trout came back home today after maybe only 2 hours of fishing. I think we know what’s for dinner!

We had a call for service yesterday involving patients who were suffering from heat related issues. Please consider using one of the cooling centers in town . The Merrill-Go-Round might be an option if you need transportation as well.
