The Lincoln County Forestry Department, in conjunction with the City of Merrill Street Department, will be conducting tree removal and thinning operations along 10th Street, north of the Lincoln County Service Center during the day on April 1 and April 2, 2026.

This will coincide with Merrill High School’s College & Career Readiness Demonstration Day, providing students an opportunity to observe proper forest management practices.

Residents and drivers should expect minor delays and exercise caution in the work zone.

Lincoln County Service Center
Lincoln County Health and Human Services (

The Lincoln County Courthouse will remain open
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office will remain open.

Although the roads are in fair condition right now and the weather is calm, we are still in the middle of the storm warning. We anticipate another 6-12" over the next 24-hours with 3–5 inches of snow expected between 6 a.m. and 9am. Strong winds up to 45 miles per hour will result in blizzard like conditions through tomorrow. Continue to minimize travel to emergency purposes only. Thank you.
